Who I Am
I’m Carlo Angelo Gonzales. Professionally, I work as an Account Executive in a digital marketing agency. My days are filled with meetings, deadlines, and the constant challenge of keeping up in a fast-moving industry.
Personally, I’m the breadwinner of my family. I live on my own, but I support my parents and five siblings. I also have a dog who keeps me company and makes life a little brighter. Balancing all these responsibilities isn’t easy, but it has taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of finding small joys to keep going.
One of those joys is gaming. Outside of work, I spend time with video games, board games, card games, and tabletop role-playing games with friends. These hobbies help me recharge, reflect, and sometimes even spark ideas about life outside the screen or table.
Why I Started This Site
I created this site because I believe games are more than entertainment. They can be windows into culture, reflections of life, and sources of inspiration. A game can challenge us the same way a novel or film can. It can also give us comfort during stressful times.
This is not a professional critic’s site. I’m not chasing review scores or industry clout. Instead, this is a personal project where I share beginner-friendly reviews and honest reflections. My goal is to write in a plain, approachable language that speaks to newcomers and casual players, especially those in the Philippines who might be wondering if a game is worth their hard-earned money and limited free time.
What Makes This Site Different
There are already many gaming blogs, review sites, and media outlets. What makes this space different is the perspective behind it. I write as a Filipino gamer who balances work, family, and hobbies. That means my reviews and reflections aren’t just about technical details. They are about what a game feels like when you play it after a long shift, what it means when you save up to buy a console, or what it’s like to share a board game with siblings on a weekend.
This Pinoy perspective is what grounds my writing. It’s a view that asks not only “is the game good” but also “is it worth it for us.”
What You’ll Find Here

At the end of the day, I am not trying to be an authority or compete with professional reviewers. I am just someone who works hard during the day, helps his family, and finds joy in games at night.
If you’re new to gaming, or if you just want to see games from the lens of a Filipino gamer navigating life’s challenges, then this space is for you. I hope my writing helps you discover new games, reflect on familiar ones, and maybe even see gaming as more than just a pastime.
