Today was, in a word:
It’s cool because I saw my boss do what he’s always wanted to do ever since we’ve worked together for the glory of the Internetz. Erm, what I’m trying to say is that he’s really moving forward with what he planned and quite frankly, I was pumped up to know that the audience knew that it was a completely do-able thing.
True enough, the phrase “Provide value without expectation of compensation” worked. Lots of people we know came in, but even more came in without really knowing Ben Francia that much personally. Maybe it’s too early to say, maybe they were invited, I wouldn’t know.
The bottom line is that it was a hit and we enjoyed Making It Happen.
Also, the workshop was graced by the presence of Digital Influencer, Internet expert and blogger Janette Toral. A real online authority, she’s authored 4 books and many research reports about Internet marketing.
Oh, and she remembered me from iBlog 8. FTW!
I guess what wrapped it up for the day was the fact that after helping Ben out, we got treated to a lunch in Congo’s Grill and felt like the Avengers on their shawarma trip after saving the city from an alien invasion. I was somewhat exhausted, but for some reason, I was fulfilled. I helped a friend out – I helped my mentor out and I’m pretty sure I’ll be there to help him out some more.
Oh, and I also felt that I needed to work on my content plan some more. And I will.
My turn, boss. My turn.
