You have two choices in this world:

1. You give in to whatever everyone’s telling you about not being able to do whatever it is you want to do. You can listen to the facts, look at statistical data and give in to what you “cannot” do.

OR

2. You don’t listen to anyone but yourself and just go do it.

At one point in my life, I decided to do a 60 kilometer bike trek. Every one of my friends told me I couldn’t make it. That I’d quit at the first kilometer. That y bike couldn’t handle my then 200-pound body. That I’d get hit by something along the way.

As you would assume, I got saddened by this.

But I didn’t let up. My determination lead me from Alabang to Cavite and back. And, while the act was something I thought of as a spit to everyone’s face who thought I could never do it, the best thing I got from it was that whenever I made a choice to do something, I’d just go do it.

I won’t listen to what they say anymore.

I’ll do what I know and believe I can do.

It’s simple enough, if you ask me. Well, what are you waiting for?
